Well, Flippin' Awesome restaurant in Beverly Centers Islamabad, is the new king in town for burgers. They are bringing a blend of creativity and flavors to make their burgers a treat for real! The restaurant has received 4.20/5 ratings in Islamabad. The have a facebook handle (click here) and an instagram handle (click here) where they post the most scrumptious updates about their servings. So, it was time to see if this place was a must try in Islamabad or not?
One fine Friday, we were looking for a place to celebrate a 'treat yourself' kind of afternoon and saw the restaurant post their Awesome Fried Chicken Burger picture. Well, the name and the picture really made our mood to go ahead and try the burger immediately. The restaurant has a tidy and humble ambiance with a blend of downtown club vibes due to the purple and dark blue color combination. They offer an open air sitting arrangement as well. However, I did feel they were a bit short staffed to attentively tend to their customers (us obviously!) who are sitting far away from their main serving area.
Being not much of a burger fan, I was intrigued. That speaks volumes about my experience at Flippin' Awesome restaurant. The most striking part about the place is they are not being the conventional restaurant. They have been creative with their design of menu, serving style, ambiance and reception decoration. In order to target the more than 60% of the youth of Pakistan, they have added a touch of Halloween vibes in their positioning because their menu has a picture of skull and bones printed on it!

For beef lovers, there is a wide variety of burgers while for chicken lovers, there is a range of five awesome burgers to choose. They also serve three different kinds of pasta including Mac and Cheese! WOW! Onion rings are one of the options for you in their menu for sides. You can also satisfy your french fries cravings because there is a variety of fries to choose and order in the menu.
What I Ordered?
We order 2 Awesome Fried Chicken burgers, two Coca Cola, and for side we ordered Flippin' Awesome Fries. Of course, we wanted to know what was so awesome about this place and whether the name justified the place or not therefore, we ordered the items that had the word awesome in them. We did not order any dip separately because as per the image which brought us to the restaurant, the burger is loaded with sauces already.
Our Experience
Well, the serving took some time. We were served the sides first. I liked the flippin' awesome fries. The fries had a generous topping of quesco sauce and meat sauce which made the flavors truly awesome. However, the fries could have been crispier. That was something I found missing. Then we were served the burger! Well, they have this style of serving the burger on a rectangle black wooden plate which has one onion, two pickled cucumber on the side while the burger is placed with all its glory in the center with its top bun resting on the side to reveal the goodness of patty covered in sauces and flavors. I must say that it would be challenging to eat this huge and dripping with sauces burger in the conventional way. It was my first time to eat a burger with a fork and a spoon. My friend tried to eat the burger in conventional way of eating burgers, that is grabbing them in her hands and taking a bite but that got a bit messy.
Review
Well, the taste was truly awesome. Actually, far better than the experience we had in Jessie's even though it is a celebrity owned burger spot. The Flippin' Awesome burger was definitely a treat to eat and so were the fries. However, the burger was challenging to bite that is another story. All in all, it was worth is.
